Our mission
We’re on a mission to redefine retreat camping tourism. Instead of relying on professional hospitality staff, we hire and train local community members who bring a genuine passion for hosting and a deep pride in their culture. There are no strict check-in times, no rigid meal schedules, and no impersonal service. From the moment our guests arrive in our hamlet, our team is by their side—ready to serve with heart, every step of the way.
Our vision
We envision a space where people can experience Himachali living in its most authentic form—something that’s slowly disappearing with the rise of commercialization. From the moment someone reaches out to us, we take the time to truly understand them, offering thoughtful, personalized hospitality that leaves a lasting impression. Our dream is to create a retreat where guests don’t just visit—they arrive as strangers and leave as soul friends.

Reasons behind...
The only drawing I could come up with since kindergarten was a river flowing through mountains. A small house would stand alongside this river with trees and sun providing a perfect background. No matter what, but I couldn’t draw anything else but this.
As the life saw many summers and took me around places and cities that would stifle my senses, I kept on dreaming about that drawing. The urge to redraw and live in that same drawing in real life increased by every passing day.
That urge took manic proportions and made me quit the world of journalism. Being the youngest of three siblings, I could afford to indulge in exploring a new punchline.
Brothers were set on a hunt to find a place that would replicate the drawing.
The only difference was that this time the river, the mountains, the trees, all had a soul.
These souls grouped together into form Giri Camp.
So for the last 18 years, I am welcoming everyone to embrace these souls nestled in this hideout.
